About Group Training

The group-training concept was originated in Australia as a method of ensuring that new apprentices had every opportunity to gain their qualification and develop their skills in the most effective manner possible. The group training company remains the employer of the new apprentice throughout the entire time of their gaining a qualification. However, throughout this time their day to day work will be conducted at the sites of a network of 'host' organisations.

This methodology which we developed helps ensure that people working with us gain all of the skills they will need to be a graduate of the highest calibre. By rotating our employees through a range of hosts during their time with us, we can ensure that they will get to experience a of variety of different working environments and give them every opportunity to hone their skills in all areas of their chosen trade.

 

What are the benefits to our rotation system?

Gaining your new apprenticeship qualification through GlobalOne provides you with a number of benefits not available through working with a direct employer in your chosen field. These include:

Variety of working environments

By utilising our rotation system you will gain a broader range of experience and skills then would otherwise be available. This will result in you being able to apply your skills to a broader range of areas, thus increasing your employability once you are qualified.

Dedicated support

When you are employed with GlobalOne you will be appointed an Employment Coordinator. A key part of their job is to manage your time with us to ensure that you have every opportunity to successfully complete your qualification and to develop your skills and experience to ensure that your career opportunities are maximised.

Your Employment Coordinator will assist you with such matters as your college attendance, placements with hosts, attendance at industry events, developing your network, career guidance and performance management.

Avoiding potential pitfalls

Unfortunately apprentices indentured with a direct employer are sometimes viewed as just another employee and are well down on the list of priorities, after the business itself (e.g. restaurant, construction firm) and other longer term employees.

When working with us you are our priority. Our success is measured by the amount of people who join us and go on to successfully complete their qualification. When you are with GlobalOne your development is our business priority.
